Where:

We are at 343 West Main Street in the City of Ionia. Our back door is located by the Farmers Market at the corner of Steele St. & Adams.

Our Mission:

ENRICH connects people and resources creating positive solutions to improve the quality of life for individuals, families and communities in Ionia County.

Our History:

ENRICH of Ionia County was established in 1997 by a group of human service professionals, agencies, area churches, and concerned community members. We are a tax exempt, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

Our Accomplishments:

In 2017, ENRICH served  Clients in the Community Circle program by fulfilling needs of basic household furniture including beds, couches, chairs, refrigerators, stoves, tables and chairs.

Our Results:

At ENRICH we help where possible, and once in a while perform tiny marvels on our shoestring budget. Recently we met a young woman who left her husband, took her kids and landed at the local shelter with nothing but her children and their clothes. When she came to ENRICH, she was so afraid her husband would find her that it was even hard to convince her to tell us her last name. After assuring her that our staff understood the importance of confidentiality, we were able to help her find affordable housing. ENRICH then delivered beds, a kitchen table and chairs where her children could eat together and do their homework. We also provided living room furniture and a few household supplies. Raising several young children alone and poor can be an overwhelming challenge. Doing it while everyone eats and sleeps on the floor is a tragedy.

Our Needs:

ENRICH always needs donations of use-able household goods, volunteers to assist with our programs, and board and committee members to help carry out our work. We especially need your financial donations to help support those things that can’t be supplied through volunteer labor or donated goods – the heat and light bill, the land contract payment, insurance, staffing, and supplies. Please help us by pledging your donation or volunteering your time.
